2. We are pausing free local delivery

Given the rising cost of gas and our new extended store hours, it's not possible for us to continue free local delivery at this time. Curbside/in-store pickup will remain available, and we continue to deliver within Guelph and Canada-wide at competitive rates: see our Shipping Policy for details. 

Thank you to everyone who helped us survive the last two years by ordering online. We hope to see you in the store now that we are open again! And please remember you can still order online and pick up!

3. We are buying books by appointment only

Did you know we buy second-hand books? From recent bestsellers to centuries old classics, we're always looking for good books in good shape! We're famously picky about condition: we only buy books with no stains, no tears, and no smells.

Looking to sell us books? We have hundreds of people offer us thousands of books every month. In order to give your books the consideration they deserve, we are currently buying by appointment only.

If you're interested in selling us books, contact us for details. Please let us know roughly how many ("five or six", "2 bankers boxes", "a few thousand", etc) and what sort of books (novels, kids books, textbooks, "old books", "modern firsts from Canadian authors, inscribed to Bob, mostly with light foxing and the occasional damp stain", etc) so we can better serve you.

If you have less than a dozen books, we will do our best to look at your books without an appointment. Keep in mind that some days, like Saturday, can be very busy.

4. Masks are optional, but highly recommended

We continue to wear masks in the store. We would appreciate if you are able to wear a mask in the store also, but it is not mandatory.
